WebbThe theory of multiple intelligences (MI) was set forth in 1983 by Howard Gardner. The theory holds that all individuals have several, relatively autonomous intelligences that they deploy in varying combinations to solve problems or create products that are valued in one or more cultures. WebbCrystallized intelligence tends to increase or stay the same as we age (around 60 y.o.). For example, acquiring new knowledge to "enhance" what we already know like vocabulary abilities, i.e. crossword puzzles. We are essentially "crystallizing" our knowledge or strengthening the neural connections involved with previous knowledge and experiences.
