Has anyone had any luck with that? I tried using a granite slab under my REL Storm III and found that the bass was much cleaner with the sub on the carpet and not on the granite. I have carpet over a concrete slab.

WebMay 16, 2012 · IMHO, most all sub's are placed on carpeted floors, and most are downward firing. You don't lose low frequencies reflecting off carpet - only high frequencies - so there should be no problem at all. My Rel sub is on carpet and fires down . . . sounds wonderful.
